4th ANNUAL RAPTORAMA! FESTIVAL AT JAMAICA BAY

With American Littoral Society, Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, and Gateway National Recreation Area
Meet at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center to get live, up-close views of local hawks, owls, and eagles. Enjoy other raptor-themed crafts and activities throughout the day. Additional programming will be held at Fort Tilden to see the many hawk species flying south for the winter. RSVP to let us know you’re coming. No limit. Free ($15 suggested donation to help with program costs)

10am - 2pm - Tabling and paper owl craft with NYC Audubon
10am - 12pm - Live raptor demonstrations with rehabilitator Bobby Horvath (NOTE: this will be an ongoing demonstration, guests can enjoy this program through the 2-hour window)
11:30am - 12:30pm - Living Shoreline Construction Tour with Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy
12pm - 1pm - Junior Ranger Program with National Park Service
12:30pm - 1:30pm - Owl Pellet Dissection with National Park Service
1pm - 2pm - Bird Walk at Jamaica Bay with Kellye Rosenheim
1pm - 2pm - Fort Tilden Hawk Watch with Don Riepe of American Littoral Society (Note: this activity meets at The Chapel at Fort Tilden on Murray Road by the Beach 169th Street entrance to Fort Tilden, click here for Google Maps pin)
