UV Mural Workshop on Governors Island (8/5) (Free)
Admission
- Free
Description
Join NYC Audubon and artists Leslie Ruckman and Gal Nissim for a Free UV Mural Workshop Saturday, August 5 at 4pm on Governors Island!
Up to a quarter of a million birds die in collisions with glass annually in NYC alone, a consequence of an environment designed without birds in mind. This hands-on workshop invites participants to develop creative solutions to glass collisions using a medium that birds can see (but humans cannot): ink only visible on the ultraviolet spectrum. Grab a UV pen and make your mark on a collaborative glass mural!
We will meet at the NYC Audubon's Seasonal Environmental Center, located at Nolan Park House 17 on Governors Island. Register here. Free. No limit.
