Blanket Birding with the Feminist Bird Club (4/19) (Free)

Description

Join Feminist Bird Club and New York City Audubon for some chill post-work birding in Central Park! We’ll be hanging out along the northern side of the Harlem Meer, wherever we can find some space and some free benches. From here we can keep our eyes out for ducks, hawks, falcons, gulls, various migrating species of birds, and just take in the sensations of a habitat shaking off the last bits of winter.

The group will meet in front of the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center. Registration not required but encouraged (it helps us know how many binoculars we should bring!). No Limit. Free.

Note on Accessibility:

The area around the Harlem Meer has paved pathways and ramps with shallow inclines. There are some benches and grassy areas available for sitting. Bring your own blanket or camp chair for more comfort! Public restrooms are located nearby in the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center and are designated as accessible restrooms. The closest subway station is Central Park North (110th Street) on the 2/3 line. The M2, M3, and M4 bus lines can also be found nearby.
