Description

NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED. NEW DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED.

NYCHA in Nature is a partnership program with NYC Audubon and the Fund for Public Housing to offer bird-watching opportunities and exposure to nature for NYCHA residents and the general public. The program will explore adjacent parks to NYCHA developments and also open space within the developments.

Registration not required but encouraged (it helps us know how many binoculars we should bring!). No limit. Free.

Note on Accessibility:

Soundview Park contains paved paths on mostly flat terrain, as well as restrooms on Metcalf Avenue between Seward and Randall Avenue, and on Lafayette Avenue between Colgate and Boynton Avenues. The nearest parking lot is located on 900 Bronx River Avenue. The park is also accessible via the 6 train and Bx5 and BxM8 buses.
