Description

NYCHA in Nature is a partnership program with NYC Audubon and the Fund for Public Housing to offer bird-watching opportunities and exposure to nature for NYCHA residents and the general public. The program will explore adjacent parks to NYCHA developments and also open space within the developments.

Together with the Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy, we will explore Bayswater Park near the housing complex. The group will meet at the The Child Center of NY's Community Cornerstone building at 426 Beach 40th Street. Registration not required but encouraged (it helps us know how many binoculars we should bring!). No limit. Free.

Note on Accessibility:

Bayswater Park contains public restrooms on Beach Channel Drive and Bay 32 Street. For more information, you can visit the NYC Parks website.
