Description

Join NYC Audubon for a Young Conservationist outing to Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day! We'll spend an hour or two exploring the riverfront park, and afterwards grab refreshments nearby. We will meet at the Gantry Plaza State Park entrance at 50th Ave and Center Blvd. in Queens.

Registration not required but encouraged. (It helps us know how many extra binoculars we should bring!) Free. No limit.

This event is free, but there is a suggested donation of $25, which will also earn you a Young Conservationist level membership with NYC Audubon. Young Conservationist is a membership level for nature lovers ages 18-35. Membership gives you discounts on most trips and classes and invitations to special Young Conservationist member events, while also supporting NYC Audubon's conservation, advocacy, and engagement efforts throughout the City's five boroughs.

Note on Accessibility:

Gantry Plaza State Park contains paved paths on flat terrain. Gantry Plaza State Park is accessible by train, bus, and ferry. The Q103 bus and LIRR have stops a few blocks away from the park entrance. Metered, curbside parking can also be found nearby. For more information, visit NY State Parks' website.
